Our business model is summed up into one word: people. People are at the heart of what we do at Community Bank, whether we are providing outstanding customer service or working beside each other as associates.
Our business model is built on the fact that good people in a happy workplace are the most effective instrument a bank can have in generating income. Our staff takes care of us, and we take care of them. This philosophy is one of the reasons Community Bank was named one of the “Best Banks to Work For” by American Banker magazine, and why we have been able to consistently grow and routinely generate more assets per office than most other banks in the South.
Unlike some banks whose retirement programs require an employee contribution before providing a match, Community Bank established an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). Under this plan, all staff members are fully funded a percentage of their total compensation each year which is invested in the bank’s stock. This not only provides a comfortable nest egg for Community Bank staffers, but also gives them a vested interest in bank performance — particularly in how their own customer service delivery could enhance the bank’s bottom line and, therefore, their own bottom line.
Community Bank believes honoring simple values leads to a better quality of life for both our staff and our customers, and we strive to run our business in a way that puts those values into action each day.
PEOPLE ARE AT THE HEART OF WHAT WE DO.
