A Welcome to Laurel, America’s New Favorite Home Town

Laurel, Mississippi has been center stage over the last few months with the new hit HGTV show “Home Town” making waves. The show features Ben and Erin Napier working to restore homes in Historic Downtown Laurel. It has been a delight for the Community Bank family to watch this show come to fruition and seeing the revitalization of downtown Laurel take shape. 

Community Bank’s roots run deep in Laurel, having served the community for nearly 40 years. We have over 50 staff members who live, work, and call Laurel home. We are so proud to support Laurel in this growth and watch all the exciting things that are truly revitalizing this inspiring town. 

When asked about the growth Laurel is seeing, Justin Martin, President and CEO of Community Bank Ellisville, was quoted as saying, ”It’s a really exciting time to live in Laurel! Over the past three weeks Community Bank has had the privilege to host open houses at the homes featured on the week’s episode of “Home Town.” This was simply our way of saying “thank you” to the homeowners for choosing Community Bank to walk with them through the home-buying process. It has been such an honor to see Laurel come around these homeowners – welcoming them into the community, loving them and celebrating their beautiful home with them.

As many of you have already seen, it was recently announced that the show will continue with a second season. It is great news for everyone involved, and we can’t wait to see all the great things that will come to our Community in the future!
