Celebrating 50 Years of Service

On March 21, 2018, our visionary leader, Thomas W. Colbert was honored for his 50 years of service to Community Bank. The event took place at the Country Club of Jackson where our Board of Directors and Executive Team came together to celebrate him and his service to our company. During his 50 year tenure, Colbert has led Community Bank from a single office in Forest, Mississippi with $6 million in assets to where we stand today at 47 offices and over $3 billion in assets.

During the evening, he was presented with:

• A leather bound book which included congratulatory letters for his service from Board of Directors and close friends
• A new bank lapel pin which was adorned with 5 diamonds, one for every decade of service
• A $250,000 Endowment Fund. The Thomas W. Colbert Lectureship in Venture Capital and Entrepreneurial Finance Endowment will provide funds to recruit and retain faculty members to the business school’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
