Over the course of the summer, over 200 Community Bank staff members volunteered with 9 organizations in their local communities. Staff spent nearly 50 hours meeting the needs of these organizations, who through their mission are impacting our communities.
Edwards Street Fellowship Center
The purpose of Edwards Street Fellowship Center is to provide a helping hand to the poor, the under-served, the suffering in the greater Hattiesburg area.
The mission of Edwards Street Fellowship Center is to shine the light of God’s love.
Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity partners with people in our community, and all over the world, to help them build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage.
Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center
The organization seeks to heal and prevent the trauma of childhood abuse and neglect by providing advocacy, child-friendly therapies, and a safe environment for kids to feel seen, heard, and understood. They restore lost innocence, provide hope, and make a difference in all the lives they touch.
Full Tummy Project
Provides sacks filled with healthy, easy to prepare foods, during weekends and school breaks for children who might otherwise go hungry in the Monroe County area.
We Will Go Ministries
We Will Go serves the downtown Jackson MS area with needs of the residents related to education, essential food and engagement. With a Christian focus, they distribute groceries to low income families, offer afterschool care with a focus on literacy, and provide all day summer learning for students in need.
King’s Home Inc
Our mission: King’s Home seeks to serve and glorify God by providing Christ-centered homes and services in which compassion and competence combine to meet the needs of women, children, and families.”
Mustard Seed
The Mustard Seed seeks to meet the spiritual, physical, emotional, and intellectual needs of adults with developmental disabilities by providing a loving and protected Christian community with meaningful activities that allow the participants to fulfill the potential that God has created within them.
Horses for Handicap
Provides Horseback rides and other activities to children and adults with handicap.
Pink Heart Funds
Pink Heart Funds provides cranial prosthetics (wigs) at no cost to children and adults experiencing cancer-related hair loss or severe hair loss from conditions such as Alopecia. In addition, they offer women free breast prosthetics and post-mastectomy bras, along with compassionate resources, guidance, and support throughout their journey.
