In 2025, Community Bank secured the largest amount of grant funding through community partnerships in our bank’s history. Through programs offered by the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas, Community Bank invested more than $1,591,546 back into the communities we proudly serve. This milestone reflects our strongest year yet in leveraging community partnerships to expand access to critical resources.
Over the past year, we participated in the following FHLB programs: Affordable Housing Program (AHP), Homebuyer Equity Leverage Partnership (HELP), Special Needs Assistance Program (SNAP), Partnership Grant Program (PGP), Disaster Rebuilding Assistance (DRA), the Fortified Fund, and the Pathway Fund—receiving funding from every program except one. We assisted 78 applicants and provided technical support to each of our non-profit community partners throughout their grant application process.
Three Mississippi nonprofit organizations were awarded the 2025 Pathway Fund Grant, each receiving $150,000 to provide critical legal assistance and resources for families facing heirs’ property challenges.
The recipients:
• North Mississippi Rural Legal Services (Oxford, MS): Serving 40 counties across Northern Mississippi
• Mississippi Center for Legal Services Corporation (Hattiesburg, MS): Serving 43 counties across Southern Mississippi, including the Gulf Coast and central regions from Jackson to the coast
• Mission First, Inc. (Jackson, MS): Serving the Jackson Metro Area and Central Mississippi
These grants will help family’s clear property titles and resolve heirs’ property issues—barriers that often prevent families from rebuilding, repairing, or accessing financial support. With clear titles, families will finally be able to secure loans and move forward with necessary repairs and improvements.
This milestone is building on 2024’s success when North Mississippi Rural Legal Services then a new community partner, with the support of Barry Prather and the North Mississippi Team, was awarded the Heirs’ Property Grant now known as the Pathway Fund Grant. Now, through strategic partnerships with Community Bank and our community allies, this free service is available to citizens across all 82 counties in Mississippi.
We are pleased to share that, together, these three organizations will continue this important work statewide, ensuring that families throughout Mississippi have access to the legal support they need.
Community Bank remains committed to supporting the people and places we serve. This achievement demonstrates the power of partnership and purpose—and inspires us to do even more in 2026.
