Over the course of the summer, over 200 Community Bank staff members volunteered with 9 organizations in their local communities. Staff spent nearly 50 hours meeting the needs of these organizations, who through their mission are impacting our communities.

Re-Build Bay County
Rebuilding hope, hearts, and homes in Bay County. In the aftermath of Hurricane Michael in October 2018, a group of dedicated community leaders came together under the guidance of Bay County Emergency Management. Recognizing the immense need for coordinated recovery efforts, Rebuild Bay County, Inc. was officially established in March 2019 as Bay County’s long-term disaster recovery organization.

Prodisee Pantry is a 501(c)(3) faith-based non-profit community ministry providing emergency food and disaster relief. They have provided assistance over 221,470 times to Baldwin County families facing hardship stemming from job loss, medical expenses, natural disasters and other crisis.
Starkville Strong’s Second Serving Program serviced by Community Bank’s North Team
Starkville Strong’s Second Serving Program
Second Servings is Starkville Strong’s community-driven food rescue initiative that fights hunger and reduces waste across Oktibbeha County. By collecting surplus food from local restaurants, Mississippi State University dining services, Greek organizations, and community events, they repurpose nutritious meals for neighbors in need.

The Center for Pregnancy Choices of Meridian is a Christian organization that offers free, confidential support for those facing unexpected pregnancies, providing services like pregnancy tests, limited ultrasounds, options counseling, and material assistance for mothers and babies. They aim to empower individuals to choose life through education, support, and resources, including parenting classes and referrals for housing and medical assistance.

Community Care Network is a 501(c)(3) faith-based nonprofit organization located in Ocean Springs, Mississippi seeking to empower their clients and minister to their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, enabling them to move from addiction, homelessness, and/or incarceration to a stable and independent life. Founded in 2003, they continue to equip their clients through life skills training, safe supportive housing, and ongoing support, and to minister healing and restoration through Christian counseling and teaching.

The American Cancer Society Hope Lodge in Jackson, which opened in 2019, offers 32 guest rooms located near treatment centers in the area. It supports research and provides people facing cancer with 24/7 support, free lodging, and rides to treatment.
Birmingham – Community Food Bank
Community Food Bank
The Community Food Bank of Central Alabama provides food for 12 counties in central Alabama: Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Etowah, Jefferson, Shelby, St. Clair, Talladega, Walker and Winston. The Community Food Bank distributes food through our network of over 300 distribution partners. Once food is distributed to their partners, neighbors facing hunger receive the food at no cost.
