As check fraud continues to grow, it is more important now than ever to be diligent and take every precaution possible. If you are writing personal checks, a precaution to consider taking, is using gel ink pens. When writing checks using a gel pen, with blue or black, non-washable ink, the gel soaks into the paper and is more difficult to remove than a ballpoint-pen. While this makes it more difficult to wash the checks, there is no single tool that can stop check fraud.
