A Lifelong Commitment to Community Bank

April 26, 2017 |

Community Bank hosted our Annual Stockholder’s event in March where we reflected on 2016 and looked forward to the exciting things to come in 2017 and beyond. Each year at our annual meeting, CB’s senior management takes the opportunity to recognize our staff-owners for their outstanding achievements. This year was no different, with one of the most notable awards being presented by our Chairman of the Board, Freddie J. Bagley.

The Chairman’s Award for Commitment was presented to five outstanding ladies that have served Community Bank for a combined 196 years. When you build something, the foundation is the most critical aspect of anything you build – Cindy Lindsey, Audrey McNeil, Lissie Smith, Gail Calhoun, and Lynne Kenna are that foundation for Community Bank. When we reached the point in our history where we were ready to do more, our Senior management team knew that having a solid foundation was critical. These ladies never hesitated at the opportunity to grow – taking classes at night, expanding their knowledge and skill set. They bought-in to who CB was and where it wanted to go. They were charged with maintaining our culture as we grew and have done an outstanding job of that for the last 35 plus years.

To quote Vince Lombardi “Individual commitment to a group effort – that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work.” There have been none more committed to Community Bank than these ladies and none more deserving of the Chairman’s Award for Commitment.
